Terms of Use

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the use of the services provided by Okaimono (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a parcel forwarding company operating in France, Germany, Japan, and the Philippines. By accessing and using our services, you (“Client” or “you”) agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, you must refrain from using our services.

1. General Agreement

By using Okaimono's parcel forwarding, parcel consolidation, translation, and proxy shopping services, you confirm that you agree to all the terms and conditions outlined below. If you do not agree with these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Rates and Payments

  • Service Rates:
    All rates for services provided by Okaimono are subject to change at any time. By using our services, you agree to accept and pay the rates applicable at the time of the transaction.

  • Full Payment:
    You are required to pay 100% of the total amount indicated on the invoice before we process your shipment. Failure to make full payment may result in delays or cancellation of your shipment.

  • Currency and Fees:
    Payments are to be made in the currency specified by Okaimono. Any applicable fees, taxes, or duties are your responsibility.

  • Additional Information:
    Please note that there will be at least two invoices per transaction: one for the item and forwarding fees, and the next for the international shipping fees. The international shipping fee is calculated based on the parcel's weight, and we do not have the capability to provide a quote without weighing and receiving the item first.

3. Parcel Packing and Liability

  • Packing: Okaimono will take all reasonable care to pack your parcel securely to prevent damage during shipping. However, Okaimono is not liable for any damage or loss that occurs to the parcel once it has been shipped.

  • Damage Claims: If your parcel arrives damaged, Okaimono will assist you by helping you contact the relevant local post office or shipping provider. However, we are not responsible for the damages or losses incurred during transit. Additionally, if the shipping carrier decides not to compensate you for the damaged parcel, Okaimono will not be able to provide compensation.

4. Prohibited Goods and False Declarations

  • Prohibited Goods: Okaimono reserves the right to refuse the shipment of any prohibited goods, as defined by the laws and regulations of the shipping destination or the carrier.

  • No False Declarations: We will not falsely declare the contents of any parcel or misrepresent the nature of the items being shipped. All parcels will be labeled as "parcel forwarding" and will not be declared as gifts.

5. Service Scope

Okaimono’s services include the following:

  • Parcel Forwarding: Forwarding parcels from designated locations in France, Germany, Japan, and the Philippines to international destinations.

  • Parcel Consolidation: Combining multiple parcels into one shipment to save on shipping costs.

  • Translation: Translation services for documents or communications related to the parcel.

  • Proxy Shopping: Purchasing items on your behalf from specified vendors or stores.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • Legality of Importation: You are solely responsible for checking the legality of the items being imported into your country. Okaimono is not responsible for any legal issues related to the importation of items.

  • Taxes and Duties: You are responsible for researching, paying, and understanding any applicable taxes, duties, or customs fees for your parcel. Okaimono will not be liable for these charges.

  • Authenticity of Items: Okaimono does not conduct authenticity checks for branded or luxury items. We are not responsible for verifying the authenticity of any item purchased or forwarded.

  • Return of Items: Okaimono is not responsible for returning items to local vendors or sellers, unless the item is significantly different from what was ordered or is damaged in a way not disclosed by the seller.

  • Damaged Parcels or Required Interventions: In the event that the parcel is damaged or requires any intervention, the client is responsible for promptly reporting the issue to the shipping carrier and following their procedures for resolution.

7. Refund Policy

  • No Refund After Sale is Final: Once you have completed a transaction and the sale is final (i.e., when the invoice has been paid in full and the parcel has been shipped), no refunds will be issued. This includes, but is not limited to, situations where you change your mind or are dissatisfied with the shipping process.

  • No Refund After Shipment: Once a parcel has been shipped, Okaimono will not issue any refunds. This applies even if there are delays, damages, or other issues with the shipment, as Okaimono has completed its responsibility upon shipping the parcel.

  • Refunds Due to Errors on Okaimono's Part: In exceptional cases where Okaimono has made an error in processing the shipment (e.g., incorrect shipping details or an issue that is clearly the fault of our team), Okaimono will review the situation and may offer a partial refund or compensation at our discretion. However, this does not guarantee a refund and is assessed on a case-by-case basis.

8. Right to Refuse Service

  • Refusal of Service:
    Okaimono reserves the right to refuse service to any client or request at its sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, refusal due to non-compliance with these terms or suspicious activity. Okaimono reserves the right to refuse service to clients who harass or show disrespect towards our staff.

  • We will automatically refuse service and block clients who do not respect our staff and are rude. We reserve the right to cancel the transaction at any time. If a rude client has already paid, we will refund the payment and block them from further transactions.

9. Communication and Feedback

  • Sharing Conversations: Okaimono may use communications with clients, including emails and chat messages, for feedback, reviews, or promotional purposes. However, your personal information will always be concealed, and we will only use your communications in a manner that respects your privacy.

  • ​Okaimono reserves the right to share client feedback on our website, including the client's first name and country. By submitting feedback, the client accepts that their feedback may be published on our website.

10. Pick-Up Points

  • Designated Pick-Up Locations: Okaimono will only accept parcels from designated pick-up points specified by us. We will not pick up any items sent to alternative locations not approved by Okaimono. Any items sent to an incorrect location will not be collected or processed.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • Modification of Terms: Okaimono reserves the right to change, modify, or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page, and the effective date will be updated accordingly.

  • Rate Changes: We also reserve the right to adjust our service rates at any time. Any changes to rates will apply to new transactions and shipments.

12. Limitation of Liability

  • Okaimono's liability is limited to the shipping and forwarding of parcels as per these terms. We are not liable for any delays, damages, losses, or issues that arise once the parcel has been handed over to the carrier.

  • Okaimono will not be held responsible for any loss or damage resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client, including shipping addresses and item descriptions.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the country in which the service is provided (France, Germany, Japan, or the Philippines, as applicable).

  • Dispute Resolution: In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve the issue. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be referred to a competent court in the jurisdiction where the service was provided.
